Supportive Services

Each woman and man is a unique individual and will be treated that way by P.O.C. staff.   We can help develop a specialized care plan with you, which can include several selections of approved area resources for you to choose from throughout your pregnancy and after.

COMMUNITY REFERRALS

Although we provide a variety of services to women who think they might be pregnant, there are some services that we do not cover, and therefore will refer women to other organizations in the community. These organizations can help with specific medical care, housing, education, clothing, jobs, insurance, Medicaid, WIC, food pantries, professional counseling and more.

Medical Services

Pregnancy Testing – lab quality free pregnancy tests, 99% accurate as early as 7-10 days after conception.

Ultrasounds – Ultrasounds – An ultrasound is your best way to gain medical information about your pregnancy in order to make an informed choice. An ultrasound can confirm fetal heartbeat and determine approximate fetal age and due date. Ultrasounds also detect the location of the pregnancy, since pregnancies that develop outside of the uterus, known as ectopic pregnancies, can be life threatening and would require immediate medical attention.  An ultrasound may detect signs of a possible miscarriage. Miscarriages occur in approximately 20% of all pregnancies.

Considering Abortion?

If you’re overwhelmed about an unplanned pregnancy, you may be considering an abortion. Before you make any decisions, get as much information as possible so that you can make an informed choice. You are not alone.  PRC is here to help you get answers and find hope. We take time to talk with you about your abortion options, and all services are FREE.

First: Be Sure You Are Pregnant

Before getting any type of abortion, you will need to know for sure that you’re actually pregnant and how far along you are. Even if you have pregnancy symptoms or have taken a home test, you should take a free pregnancy test at our center. Our tests are medical quality and more accurate than most over-the-counter varieties.

Second: Free Ultrasound

Statistics show that 1 in 4 early pregnancies end in natural miscarriage so you may not even need an abortion.  If you have a positive pregnancy test at Pregnancy Resource Center, you are eligible for a free, limited ultrasound to determine the status and estimated gestational age of your pregnancy. This information may help you in your decision-making process. Schedule an appointment today for a free pregnancy test and ultrasound.

Third: Free Abortion Information

You deserve to know what abortion methods are used at different stages of pregnancy and what risks are involved in each procedure.  PRC can help you understand all the facts, so you can make an informed decision.  Make an appointment today to meet with one of our professional staff members who can provide information, listen to your concerns and answer your questions.

Not Your First Abortion?

Having more than one abortion carries increased health risks and possible fertility implications. At POC we can talk about your concerns and give you information so you can make a fully informed decision about whether having another abortion is right for you.
